10 tips for Fusion 360 that I wish someone told me sooner.
In this video we cover my top 10 tips for fusion 360 that I have collected over time, but really wish i knew when I was just getting started. Some of these are pretty straight forward, some a bit cheeky and require an explanation. These are not specific tips for how to use certain tools, but more generic advice for mastering the fusion 360 toolkit.

He has helped this channel on numerous occasions when I have hit roadblocks, and I thought it would be great to get him on the channel. For a more detailed explan...
Is it possible to make a fully PARAMETRIC GUITAR?!
Переглядів 5 тис.Рік тому
In this video we will be discussing what it takes to make a fully parametric guitar in Autodesk Fusion360. To be clear, this isn't going to be a step by step how-to type of tutorial because this is very advanced and very model dependent, so it will be more me covering what I think are the most important things to know when attempting this, how I overcame some obstacles, but also running through...
How to model arm bevels and belly cuts in under 1 minute.
Переглядів 10 тис.Рік тому
In this video I will show you the fastest technique I have in my arsenal to create fast and easy contours on guitars in Fusion 360. This can be used for arm bevels, belly cuts, cutaways, you name it. Though I've had this technique for years, I realized that I haven't showed it on the channel before, and thought it might help some who are fighting the fusion 360 gods when it comes to lofts or su...

I designed a viewers guitar and he built one for me! | The Raven (feat. Nevermore Guitars)

"I'll build you a guitar, if you build me a guitar"... Last year I was approached by the owner of Nevermore Guitars to help him make the switch from hand built guitars to CNC. What I didn't know is that this would end up being one of the coolest projects I've ever worked on. I helped them take a napkin sketch of their new concept guitar "The Raven" and bring it to life in CAD. And in a twist, t...

For soldering, the more metal to heat up , the longer you have to leave the iron tip on it. Just have a little thin on the tip to create a heat bridge, wait a bit and insert the wire with additional thin.... it will solve your soldering problem. Applaying flux paste to the joint before soldering will help greatly for thin to adhere. Clean with alchool after to remove flux residue.

This series is just awesome! I am so glad I found your channel and appreciate your willingness to share so much information with us! On your work holding for the back side, have you considered adding a raised strip to your jog that fits snuggly into the rod slot? That would give you real positive grab to prevent left/right shifting and potentially allow you to put a neck back on the jig after removal.

Hi Austin, thanks for sharing all of your knowledge,. Here is a feature maybe you can add to the fretboard, is to make it more solid in construction, and have a more solid neck. in basses this is crusial. ua-cam.com/video/jFI8MM2PkGM/v-deo.html take a look to this. The idea is to have like binding fretboard without making a binding. I think can be a nice feature and dont looks dificult to do.

When using the mirror tool inside a sketch and mirroring the feature later on instead lead to the same final geometry, which one should be preferred ? I tend to mirror features because it's easier to go back and edit, while i have no idea how to properly edit a validated sketch that includes mirrors and patterns.

if anyone could help me out, i would be looking for more of this knowledge. i think im a pretty good modeler but for example the curve intersect feature was completely new to me. How can I become better at modeling itself? because when i do a project i just use the workflow im already familiar with, and sometimes that gets very hard, very tedious and very error prone and can only be fixed in ugly ways. Does anybody else experience this, and how did you go about progressing further?

Hi Austin. Just for your information, fumes and dust from cutting or sanding phenolic is very toxic. Using a breathing mask is a good idea when making fine particules. I have work with it few times at my job and it is very nasty.

Great video on using the loft command for carved tops... I have built a number of F-style mandolin models using patches... the difficult part for me is connecting the scroll to the main body of the mandolin. My current models require a bit more hand work around this transition than I would like. any thoughts adapting your technique to build an F style mando/scroll?

Hi! Thank you or all the informative videos! I have an idea when it comes to the tool path starting from the top surface of the stock's bounding box. If you were to start with a box shaped stock and carve out that glued neck blank shape from that as the first step in the same setup, would that help avoid the errors? Of course, in reality you wouldn't run that step but simply skip it instead.
